“SENSAS wants to expand its entertainment concept offerings around the 5 senses”

Founded by Gregory Lafont, President, and Silvana Popovich, Managing Director, also led by Sebastian Offan, SENSAS offers a unique concept in a market currently devoid of competition. A sign that is full of projects, looks to the future with enthusiasm and ambition!

: How is your network different from other brands in your market?

Gregory Lafon: Our network is growing but remains on a human scale. We have spent a lot of time between partners to think about an organization that allows us to guarantee direct and constant contact between the franchisee and management. Our organization will allow us to guarantee this direct contact with our franchisees for a long time before delegating authority to a director or network director.

We are the opposite of a chain that wants to control everything from A to Z, from supply chain to branding. We are not in hyper control, which, of course, does not exclude the observance of some basic rules. The most important thing is that customers are satisfied under any circumstances. We have never had to hire any of our franchisees because their satisfaction rate was too low (considering that on average the SENSAS center receives an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 on review sites).

What is the medium-term vision for your company?

At the most global level, SENSAS wants to prove that its concept of sensory entertainment is absolutely universal. By focusing on what is most common among all people, namely the 5 senses, SENSAS can export its concept to Japan, as well as South Africa or Brazil, we are convinced of this. We have already opened our centers in Barcelona and London, which are successful in addition to Geneva, operated by one of our franchisees.

SENSAS wants to multiply its entertainment concepts with the 5 senses. We are increasingly interested in research in the field of sensory neurophysiology, and we are convinced that the possibilities for the evolution of the concept are endless, in particular around sensory illusion.

What is the franchisee’s role in developing your concept?

You should know that to a certain extent we allow our franchisees to adjust the concept themselves in their center. For example, slightly changing the seminar on listening.

We are in close contact with our franchisees, who share their development ideas with us, and we take them into account all the more because they are in constant contact with customers.

What are your strategic areas for growth?

We have three strategic areas for growth:

  • Franchise Development in France: We have identified 51 areas (not reserved) for which we have found sufficient income and profitability potential.
  • International development based on the growth model implemented in France: several areas managed directly by us in order to fully control the market. And the rest is in the hands of local franchisees. With our London hub off to a fast start, we want to focus on the United Kingdom. As far as Spain is concerned, our representation in Barcelona gave impetus to the first exchange with potential franchisees.
  • SENSAS Nomade, a proposal based on an original concept we just launched. SENSAS Nomade invites you to experience the sensory experience of SENSAS in 1-5 giant black boxes immersed in darkness. These boxes are very easy to transport. SENSAS Nomade, which we have recently launched, is aimed at companies wishing to organize team building directly in the workshop premises, as well as for shopping centers that are looking for original entertainment for their shopping centers.

To become a SENSAS franchisee, you need to make a personal contribution of 30,000 euros. You want to start a business in the indoor leisure franchise sector
