Sciences Po Strasbourg, also known as IEP Strasbourg, is an institution of higher education specializing in political science. It is one of nine regional IEPs, along with Aix, Bordeaux, Grenoble, Lille, Lyon, Rennes, Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Toulouse. Diploma Science Po Strasbourg
The most popular course, which attracts the largest number of students each year, is the Diploma Sciences Po Strasbourg. It is divided into two cycles: the first is quite universal and multidisciplinary. It is carried out in three years, like a classical undergraduate or licensed program. It allows students of the school to study law, economics, history, geopolitics or political science.
The second cycle is a master’s level cycle that lasts two years. This allows you to specialize in multiple sectors, each offering courses offering students the opportunity to prepare for their dream job.

The Strasbourg IEP offers more than just a Sciences Po diploma, even if it’s its flagship training. Indeed, the institution offers the opportunity to take other courses. The institution has created a professional license available for bac+2 intended for positions in administrations and local governments.
Alternatively, you can also enroll in one of Sciences Po Strasbourg’s university degrees. The school offers two classes: a preparatory class for the ENA Equal Opportunities and a CES for the European Certificate of Education. The Strasbourg IEP also allows for the integration of a talent class, a preparatory class for senior civil service competitions.

How to join Sciences Po Strasbourg? Admission routes
If you want to study at Sciences Po Strasbourg after completing your bachelor’s degree, in order to follow the classical diploma offered by the school, you will need to pass the general competition of ScPo, the network to which the institution belongs. The entrance exam for the first year at Sciences Po Strasbourg consists of three written tests.
The first is “Modern Issues,” a three-hour dissertation with a factor of three on one of these two topics of your choice: “Fear or Revolutions.” The second is a two-hour history test with a factor of three. Here candidates should analyze the package of documents. Finally, the living language test aims to assess the level of prospective students of Sciences Po Strasbourg through comprehension questions and essays. Secondary school grades and the Parcoursup file are also considered in the ScPo joint competition.
Of course, for the integration of Sciences Po Strasbourg, other ways of getting in are possible. Thus, you can join the school directly at the master’s level. Admission is then made on file to access Institutional Master Class 1. You must be able to justify obtaining a license or equivalent diploma representing 180 ECTS credits. To enroll in Masters 2, you must validate your diploma at Masters 1 level and then apply directly on the university website. Once again, admission is by request.
Finally, for other programs such as the Talents class, applications are also made online and are based on a file to be completed on a dedicated platform on the Sciences Po Strasbourg website. A letter of motivation is required, as well as a certificate of eligibility for the Talents du Service Public training course, to which fellows are invited.
Tuition fees at Sciences Po Strasbourg in 2022
In order to enroll in Sciences Po Strasbourg in the first year, you should be aware that tuition fees are adjusted based on the parents’ income. Depending on the family factor, the price of a year at Sciences Po Strasbourg can range from free entry to €3,243. Please note that this includes €243 for university fees, to which must be added a €92 student fee. and campus life, which all students, even fellows, must live up to.
The third year at Sciences Po Strasbourg sets different scales, which means you don’t have to pay tuition if your yearly income per unit is less than or equal to €16,000.
On the other hand, if you are only applying for the Master of Science Sciences Po Strasbourg, you will have to pay 243 euros for university tuition, to which you must add 92 euros of the student and campus life contribution.
International students registering for CES must pay €1,370. Those who wish to integrate preparation for the Strasbourg IEP Higher Civil Service competitions must pay 570 € for external candidates who do not belong to 4as well as Year of Science Po Diploma. Those who also joined Sciences Po Strasbourg at 5as well as the year must pay 243 € in addition to the tuition fee for the said year. On the other hand, internal candidates are exempt from tuition fees.

Jean Monnet Center of Excellence
The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence is a hallmark of Sciences Po Strasbourg. Indeed, it is a cross-border research institution. The school makes full use of its geographical position and the presence of European institutions to bring together teams of French and German researchers around common projects.
Opened in 2018, the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at Sciences Po Strasbourg aims to democratize the “original” European learning and create a lifelong learning offer, to enable research educators to explore the issue of borders in Europe and to address all topics that revolve around the EU.
Among the first projects of this center we find the creation of a cross-border bachelor’s degree, the creation of a platform dedicated to European learning, or the creation of a geopolitics festival that will center around Europe and international relations.

Sciences Po Strasbourg offers general and interdisciplinary training in political science. The school also allows you to specialize in many very diverse subjects ranging from public administration, international relations and finance. Thus, the outputs after Sciences Po Strasbourg are very diverse.
