The Student Film Prize has been awarded for the past 8 years to an independent film selected from among the films supported by France Culture this year. In the previous edition, 1080 students were awarded the prize Gagarin Fanny Liatard and Jeremy Truy. The ACID-France Culture Young People’s Choice Award is given to a film supported by two institutions and submitted to the same jury. Last year the jury chose 143 deserted street Khasen Ferani.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
1 / APPLICATION
To be part of the 2022 jury, you must be educated at a higher education institution and submit by midnight April 10, 2022 a review of your chosen film (out of selection). It can be in written form (1000 characters with a space) or video (1 min). This should be published on the following link. A confirmation email will confirm your participation in the 2022 jury.
2 / WATCH – MEET – VOTE
The jury reviews 5 films selected for the Student Film Award (among films supported by France Culture between June 30, 2021 and March 30, 2022) and 2 films for ACID – France’s Cultural Favorite, selected from among the films jointly supported this year.
The jury participates in 7 virtual meetings with the directors so that the jury can ask their questions and chat with the directors live. These meetings will be hosted by the producers of France Culture and will be available on the France Culture website.
The jury votes on the online platform until midnight on May 8, 2022.
3 / PRIZE DELIVERY
Student Film Awards and the ACID – France Culture Young Favorites Prize will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival (date, place and date). On the same occasion, France Culture will also award the France Culture Cinéma Consecration Prize, which pays tribute to the work of a great director. As a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival, you will enjoy free admission and screening bookings thanks to the support of ACID and Cannes Classic (dates to be confirmed).
