Handmade Festival: a meeting place for artists

Calling all manuals, creatives, artists in Barcelona: The handicraft festival is back! All the best handicraft workshops will gather on the territory of the festival to offer their equipment at their stands. And for those who still do not know what art to do, go to master classes. DIY, gardening, sewing, cooking, origami, bookbinding… There are many workshops on offer, more or less long, and some even free (need to be booked in advance). Música per la pau: solidarity concert

Following the success of the “Concert for Peace” at the Auditorium, the Barcelona Music Palace is also reaching out to Ukrainians by organizing its own charity concert. This Friday, various orchestras and classical singers will perform two works by Mozart, Laudate Dominum K339 as well as Requiem K622, in Palau. Thanks to the completely voluntary participation of the artists, all profits from the concert will benefit the victims of the war in Ukraine, the event is organized in cooperation with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Barcelona and the Djerelo Association. Subsol Festival: festival of subcultures

The Subsol Festival, organized by the CCCB, is not another cultural event reserved for the elite and not accessible to the rest. It’s a fringe subculture festival, with quirky comics, black humor, urban music, or even popular literature. The trap-punk band Chill Mafia, mixing Castilian and Basque, will also be present at the festival this Saturday, along with several writers from a satirical magazine El Hueves at the round table and finally the Mallorcan punk rock band Saïm. Filmoteca: the best films of 2021

2021 is over, it’s time to make the film retrospective of the year. Filmoteca de Catalunya has held consultations with critics and journalists to compile a list of the best films of 2021, which it will screen over the course of several months at its center in Raval. Dante Alighieri: exhibition-tribute to the literary giant

700 years after his death, Dante Alighieri returns… or at least we pay him tribute in Barcelona. The European Museum of Modern Art (MEMA) opens the exhibition “Si Volse a Retro”, dedicated to the giant of Italian literature and especially his The Divine Comedy. Spanish artist Jordi Diaz Alama, in collaboration with Polish sculptor Grzegroz Gwiazda, presents his work in this palace in the heart of Born, sometimes abstract and experimental, to sublimate Dante’s vision of hell.
