Update 04/07/2022 at 13:35: Xbox Series X is available at crossroads.
Don’t worry if you’ve arrived too late, we’ll always keep you posted when new additions arrive.
Why is the Xbox Series X hard to find?
The disease and deficiency discovered in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic is unfortunately still relevant. As of November 10, 2020, Microsoft’s latest console is out of stock and doesn’t seem to want to invite itself into gamers’ living rooms.
There are two main reasons for this more than annoying situation. The first one is mentioned above: a kind of virus that disrupts world trade a bit. And even if it has tended to dissipate in recent months, its impact continues to affect accessibility.
The second concerns the shortage of electronic components worldwide. This applies to many products, and the console of the American giant has not been spared. It’s full of various metals and other materials that are in short supply, and analysts don’t seem to see an end to it.
Unlike the Sony console, Microsoft has chosen to satisfy everyone by selling models for every type of use. It’s new in Xbox history and comes in two different versions.
The first is the Series S, which features a pristine white color scheme with a large black circle on the side. The interest is to offer a lower cost option for those who don’t have 499€ to spend but can still enjoy the next generation experience. There are limitations, of course, with a maximum resolution of 1440p. It also comes with just 512GB of storage.
The other model that interests us here is the Series X. With its generous build and all-black design, we immediately know that we are dealing with a premium version. You’ll be able to jump up to 4K at 120fps in games for smoothness and sharpness never seen before on a console. With 1TB of internal storage, we have enough to put games into our virtual library.
As you can imagine, the Series S, which is priced at 299 euros and cheaper than the Series X, is available at any time at the regular price. It’s less powerful and less attractive, but it’s more than enough when it comes to running every possible game.
Series X still has undeniable advantages and will satisfy those who want the best. Sale price 499 €, same as from the beginning. As is often the case with these products, which are meant to be used for many years, their value tends to stay the same for a long time.
However, if you see higher prices, this phenomenon is called scalping. Even if it is much more present in the PS5 trade, it is also found in the Series X. The principle is to target a high-demand product that regularly disappears from stock. The perpetrators of this “prank”, the speculators, rush to the consoles when they appear, and happily resell them at a higher price.
To have a reasonably priced Series X, you’ll have to be patient and stay on the lookout. It is very important to create an account with each of the major resale sites that frequently offer new promotions.

you hesitate to take the Xbox series? GamePass should convince you
This is probably one of the main reasons why you want to get an Xbox Series X, and we get your point. If that’s not the case, and you’re not too knowledgeable, know that Microsoft has a great solution to keep you from paying for all your games individually: Game Pass.
This is a catalog of games for PC, next generation or previous consoles, all of which are available through a recurring payment each month. For €9.99 you can choose between PC or console games, and another €3 gives you access to all games as well as cloud games that can be played on (almost) any device.
Sony is currently counterattacking by trying to develop its own monthly subscription system with a new catalog. PlayStation Plus is teaming up with PlayStation Now to offer three tiers: Essential, Extra and Premium, the latter two offering hundreds of games available without limits.
For now, Game Pass remains the best option for opening a lot of games, and we hope you’ll be able to enjoy them on your Series X soon.
